1. Data Controller and Scope
IUS Engineering Club ("IEC" or the "Club"), which operates within the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), respects the privacy of the users of its website and member portal. This policy explains how the personal data of students who visit our platform or become members is collected, processed and protected.
2. Personal Data We Collect
- Identity and contact: First name, last name, student email address (@student.ius.edu.ba), phone number.
- Academic information: Faculty, department, year of study and technical interests.
- Events and attendance: Attendance records taken by QR code and the participation certificates issued.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, cookie preferences and the platform's internal audit and security logs.
3. Purposes of Processing and Sharing
The data collected is processed solely to run the club's internal activities, form project teams, evaluate hackathon applications and verify certificates. Your personal data is never sold or transferred to any third-party advertising or marketing company.
4. Data Security and RLS Protection
All data is protected at the database level by PostgreSQL Row Level Security (RLS) policies, and member and management roles are restricted under a strict RBAC (role-based access control) model.
